HOOLIGAN ALLEY COMICS season 2 episode 5 - Grant Lankard - BEOWULF #1 - 4
We are back this week with friend of the show GRANT LANKARD as we talk about his comic series that is funding on KICKSTARTER RIGHT NOW!!! (that means you should go back it!!)
Grant is a fellow Pittsburgher who grew up in the 90's when comic book creators were like rock stars. He got discouraged immediately after high school and got a graphic design job which he found extremely rewarding and not depressing at all (joking!). While he continued working on smaller projects throughout this time, he found himself with some extra free time due to the covid quarantine, he decided to take the plunge and work towards his dream of becoming a full-time comic book creator. He began the successful kickstarter comic, Beowulf. Grant also launched the successful horror anthology "Memoirs of the Morbid".
Beowulf #1-4 is an adventure that spans centuries. The dragon slayer from myth (Beowulf) is reincarnated as a 30-something slacker. His sidekicks are a magic cat and a thirteen-year old girl.

You heard that right, we welcome Braiden Cox back to the show with his new project on Kickstarter, OUTWASH ONSLAUGHT.
OUTWASH ONSLAUGHT is a story from the slasher's perspective as he is on the hunt for vengeance. Trevor Howl, murdered and forgotten, has been wandering the floor of the ocean with only one goal in mind: to kill the fishing crew that murdered and betrayed him. He doesn't remember much of his former life. Where he lived, where he worked, or even who he really was and the only company he has is a demon who keeps egging him to claim his revenge.
We also review a plethora of comics including ABSOLUTION #2 (AWA), ELVIRA IN HORRORLAND #3 (Dynamite), Terry Moore's PARKER GIRLS #1 (Abstract Studio) along with a bunch of other books.
Then we also will discuss some of the latest news from the world of geeks including SANDMAN, SHE-HULK: Attorney at Law, DC/Discovery news, and anything else you want to talk about.

Its so big that Katrina and I had to bring in a "Phil" in guest as "Demon" Phil Lockler joins the Hangout as we talk with Sam Willis (RAZE COMICS #5), Stephen Kok aka Es Kay (Word Smith - Volume 1, 2, 3 & 4 - Trust), and back for his 5th appearance on the show, the ever popular Rich Perrota (Incantesi, Roaring). This promises to be a rip roaring good time so be sure not to miss it.
