Just a tad suspicious
(W) An agent provocateur? Who is the mystery masked "Umbrella Man" who started damage at AutoZone in Minneapolis during protests on May 27th? Several people recorded the entire incident on a must see video. (Link below and in comments)
-- The damage and subsequent fire at AutoZone sparked a major escalation of the protests. The black clad man attire and behavior sparked the suspicions on Twitter that he might be an agent provocateur planted among protesters:
"This was the first man to break a window at AutoZone. A move that started the string of looting and damage to businesses. He is seen wearing all black and carrying an umbrella to conceal the hammer he is holding in the same hand. No one knew this man, he didn’t protest, when confronted he ran the other way. And by the looks of it- his boots- are military grade. Meaning this man is either in some form or militia or he is with the police."
Police say an officer, rumored on social media to be the Umbrella Man vandalizing a now-destroyed Minneapolis AutoZone during protests is not the man in the video. - https://heavy.com/news/2020/05/jacob-pederson-auto-zone-cop-not-umbrella-man/
We have reviewed several local Minneapolis social media posts, and it appears that the original and most extensive video of the entire incident was recorded by a Twitter user Brad Svenson - his feed is full of live unedited footage from the protest that is really worth watching. https://twitter.com/SvensonBrad
