Civil rights attorney and Harvard Law School instructor Alejandra Caraballo isn’t mincing words about the stakes of the election, telling LGBTQ Nation:

“You have to view it as harm reduction. With Harris there’s a possibility to fight for another day and push on these policies. With Trump, there is not, especially in combination with the potential that he replaces another two Supreme Court justices. We’re talking generationally, trans people will be lost in terms of our rights.”

“Congress needs more radical homosexuals. I’m proud and openly q***r, and we have 10 members of Congress that are gay — we need a lot more,” says Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA).

Garcia’s approach has made him a rising star in the Democratic Party, and he’s working hard to help elect other out and proud LGBTQ+ politicians. Be sure to vote down ticket and understand that every election counts — from the presidency to your local school board.
