The City is putting together a map of all the bike racks in town, and we’re asking local riders to pitch in. If you’re out riding—through neighborhoods, parks, shopping centers, or trails—keep an eye out. When you spot a bike rack, just snap a quick photo and drop the location in the survey below.

You can also suggest places where new bike racks would be helpful. It’s a simple way to make Elk Grove more bike-friendly for everyone.

From 7am - 3pm, Fourth Street (between 'B' and 'E' Street) and 'C' Street (between Seventh Street and Third Street) will be closed due to the Saturday Market. The City of Galt is launching the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan & Bicycle Transportation Plan —a community-driven effort focused on preventing serious injuries and fatalities on our streets.

We invite residents, business owners, and community members to join our first public workshop and help shape the future of transportation safety in Galt. This meeting will introduce the project, review local crash history, and identify safety concerns in our community. The plan will also help identify high-risk roadways and recommend practical solutions to improve safety for everyone—whether you walk, bike, drive, use a wheelchair, or take transit.
