Wedding DJs stop letting other DJs tell you what you need to use as far as looks go. I'm not saying that you should let your wires be all over the place, gaff tape your cables down, use Velcro ties for your spear stands to keep the cables streamlined. But if you use a facade then use that facade, if you are using a table so be it use that table. Just make your stuff presentable and rock your event no matter what. All I would say is invest in yourself and your look. Don't buy those speakers from Costco or Best Buy that light up those are definitely not good speakers to do a wedding or an event. Do some research on your gear that you want to use and buy. Don't spend thousands of dollars on your first set up unless you can afford it right away.

One thing us DJ's need to stop doing is worrying about what DJ software you are using, it does not matter if you're using serato, virtual DJ, Traktor, DJay Pro. The only thing you need to worry about is rocking the event that you are doing. The clients do not care what you are using as long as you keep in that dance floor packed the whole entire night. The only time a client cares what you are using is if they are a DJ as well that is the only time. Just a little food for thought. I have used multiple DJ softwares out there and I still toss back and forth which one I like to be honest. Just do you, have fun at your event and keep booking those parties.

So many DJs out there buying the newest gear and still haven't learned their last gear they just got a couple of months ago. You are not going to get ahead by buying the newest gear just because it just came out. Stop spending money on the newest thing out there, learn with what you have now. Master it and push forward. I understand you want to stay with the new technology out there but what good is it when you buy something and something new comes out and you just spend over $1500 on the last set up and now it sits in the corner of your room. Just an fyi . Trust my I like the new stuff that is out there but I am still learning everything with what I have...

Man what can I say my 1st time going to the DJ Expo ever and it was in Atlantic City it was great. Thanks to my homie DJ NRG for inviting me. I got to meet a lot of people out there, all the YouTubers that I watch and learned from, truly down to earth.I learned so much at the seminars. The gear they had there I felt like a kid in a candy store. To all my DJ friends out there if you have never experienced the DJ Expos you definitely need to check it out and if you want to truly learn stuff to grow your business catch the seminars...

So many DJs out there looking all the same with their gear and set up, stop following everyone else how they look and find your look and style that sets you apart from everyone else. Choose the DJ gear and software that is best suited for you and what you do, remember the clients do not know anything about gear they just want you to rock their party. Now I am not saying to have a messy set up by all means, you should take pride in how your stuff looks at events, IMHO. I am very big about cable management, but then again that's just me how I like my stuff to look. So just an FYI stop following everyone else and just be you...

I tell you Facebook and Instagram are a damn joke, how are going to continue shutting people down for streaming live especially when the ones are DJs trying to get music out there like umm I don't know, we are supposed too. The thing that gets me is that you have to pay them to do it like Dnice did. Sorry we don't have that money and I damn sure pay for my music from a record pool like all the DJs did in the past. I came from that era and still pay for my music but you guys wanna keep hitting us for copyright... Such a damn joke.... Time to create my own website to do streaming from....

I will never understand as a mobile dj for the love of god why DJ's take their equipment out of the cases that you spent a lot of money on as well. They are meant to protect your gear and also most Venues want you in and out fast. Especially some of us do the set up and break down by ourselves. I understand if you are doing shows like concerts or festivals or DJ battles....
