Today Chris Hughes and Ryan Dayvault welcome David Whisenant WBTV to the downtown studios to talk about his incredible career at WBTV News and share his stories about working in local media for five-plus decades.

We hit a lot of topics in this jam-packed episode. Everything from David's childhood growing up in Salisbury, getting in trouble for playing a Beatles song on a country radio station, and getting his start at WBTV.

Of course, we couldn't leave out the Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dale Earnhardt stories, and of course the closing of Cannon Mills.
