When growth means allowing yourself to step out of your comfort zone.

I met Rubie in one of the personal development seminars I’ve attended last year ~ MMI.

Naging friends kami sa facebook then eventually nakasama ko siya sa insurance industry when she grabbed the opportunity of joining our team.

Hindi ko makakalimutan yung time na nag exam siya. Kasi after taking the exam, kumain kami sa coffee bean at nagkwentuhan.

Hindi ako nailang. No dull moments actually. It’s like meeting an old friend na hindi ko nakita for years.

You know when two introverts meet?

Ganun!! Madaldal pala!!

Gets na gets ng mga introvert yan.

Yung parang buong buhay niyo napag-usapan niyo na.

I’m very grateful na nakilala ko siya at nagtiwala siya sa akin when I offered her the career in FWD.

From someone who doesn’t really have a background in sales and the insurance industry to someone who speaks in a crowd ~ genuinely promoting the value of having life insurance. I’m just very glad to see this milestone of hers.

May purpose kung bakit mo nakilala ang isang tao.

Meet ate Maya.

Nakilala ko siya sa Victory Santa Mesa nung nagkayayaan kami ng kapatid ko magchurch sa victory.

That was in June 2022.

Grabe!!! Magdadalawang taon na rin pala.

Over the past years ang dami kong natutunan sayo ate.

Isa sa pinakatumatak sakin is ito..

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 6:23

Mas naintindihan ko ang totoong meaning ng salvation.

At lagi mong binabanggit sa akin to live my life with faith and not with worries.

Ang galing lang kung paano tayo pinagtagpo.

Sabi mo nga God has prepared everything for me. May rason kung bakit kita nakilala.

Kung mababasa mo ‘to ate, I believe pinadala ka talaga ni Lord sa buhay ko para mas makilala ko Siya at mas magkaroon ako ng malalim na relationship sa Kanya.

Thank you ate kasi malaking part ka ng naging life changing journey ko.

I’m more than inspired to continue this journey with the people I will meet along the way.

Iba yung peace na meron ako ngayon and I want to pay it forward by sharing a life filled with love ~ a life filled with Jesus! 🫶

Para akong nanood ng movie and at the end of it, may lessons or key takeaways.

I’m always going to evolve.

Story time..

The other day, I received a compliment from a new teammate.

One of the managers asked who invited him in the industry and why did he become interested to try our parttime career.

Then he said my name and sees that I’m doing good in the industry.

I don’t remember what were his exact words but what sticked to me is the part where he said that I’m doing good.

I felt happy that someone out there appreciates what I do.

Kasi from my perspective, I think what I do is not yet enough..

That I still have a lot of things to improve on, a lot of things I’m not yet familiar with.

In short, there’s more room for growth.

And yet from his lens or perspective, I’m already doing well in the business..

Which made me appreciate what I’ve gone through all these years.

Minsan talaga natetake for granted natin yung progress natin ‘no?

Yes, we celebrate it sometimes pero most of the time, dahil wala pa tayo dun sa gusto talaga nating marating, feeling natin parang wala naman masyadong nagbago sa buhay natin.

Pero feeling ko lang pala yun.

In reality, a lot of things has already changed.

From mindset, to perspective, to how I handle life’s challenges and rejections.

I guess I’m still far from the woman I want to become but I’m getting there.

My journey will never be perfect.

I will fail at times.

I will cry.

I will get frustrated.

But one thing’s for sure.

I will evolve as I move forward.

So if you feel like you’re stuck, or you feel like nothing much has changed, take a step back.

And you’ll realize..

Ang dami na rin palang nagbago.

Malayo pa, pero malayo na. 🫶

Ang unpredictable talaga ng buhay ‘no?

Kahapon nakaencounter ako ng real life story about a critical illness claim.

Client was diagnosed with leukemia last year at 27 years old lang siya.

Grabe no? Walang pinipiling edad ang sakit.

Wala ding pinipiling profile.

Nung naapprove daw yung 1 million claim niya for critical illness, super thankful siya kasi ang laking tulong nun sa kanya pati sa family niya.

This reminds me kung gaano kaimportante yung trabaho namin as financial wealth planners.

Often regarded as “dagdag gastos lang yan”, pero in the end when you’ll need it most, ang laking tulong niya.

Still here to change the way you feel about insurance. 🫶

Hindi lang siya for critical illness, madami pa siyang purpose. 💯

Kasi unti unti nang dinadala sa akin yung mga tamang tao.

Tao na nagtitiwala sa akin,

Tao na naniniwala sa services ko,

At tao na gusto akong suportahan.

Ang masasabi ko lang, salamat.

Salamat kung isa ka sa mga taong nagtiwala, naniwala, at sumuporta.

Mas sisipagan pa po. 🧡

Sa totoo lang, ang hirap gumawa ng extraordinary decision when you’re not feeling good about yourself, or about your situation or about the environment you’re in.

Pero ang galing lang.

Kasi whether you’re in a good state right now, or even in a not so good state, you have the power to choose what do you want.. or what’s next for you?

It’s like answering the question..

“Given the situation I have right now, anong gagawin ko?”

Today, dahil parang na-ooff track nanaman ako, I choose to write down my thoughts. Kasi alam ko na it will help me regain clarity.

True enough, ang dami ko nanamang naextract na message.

Ang daming lumitaw na emotions like anger, sadness, and even fear.

And ayoko siyang takasan because that’s how I feel at the moment.

Natuto na ‘ko not to shrug off what I feel.

I know that I just have to acknowledge it and face it.

And eventually, magiging okay din ako ulit.

True enough, gumaan yung pakiramdam ko after.

Bakit?

✅ Kasi nagkaroon ako ng clarity and awareness.

✅ Nagkaroon din ng opportunity na mashift ko yung mindset ko.

✅ Naalala ko bumalik sa kung sino ako.

✅ Nagkaroon ng excitement kasi nakita ko saan ba ako dapat mag improve.

And that extraordinary decision I made today is to not dim my light ~ to just show up again. 🧡

Because I know that the story I’m creating now with my life will inspire others as well.

Nacurious ako bigla.

Somehow ba nagkaroon ng impact sayo yung mga sinusulat ko?

Naniniwala ka ba na you're meant to be in the place where you are right now?

Kasi recently narealize ko na lahat may purpose.

Whether nasa waiting season ako, nasa learning season, growing season or nasa harvest season..

Laging may message yung naeexperience ko. Hindi man agad agad, pero eventually naeextract ko rin kung ano man yun.

Masaya lang ako kasi this year has led me to a lot of awareness, a lot of self discovery..

This is the year where I was able to set boundaries and stand firm in what I believe in.

Hindi madali. It takes a lot of courage and acceptance.

But I know that everything that I got this year will contribute to how I will approach 2024.

Right now, I'm currently building my team and I'm happy to be part of their growth, their milestones, their ups and downs, and their discovery of their full potential.

Hala! Ilang weeks na lang patapos na ang 2023!!

Grabe ang bilis ng taon na ‘to, ano?

Pero ito yung taon na so far very fulfilling!

Ang dami kong natutunan sa sarili ko.

Ang dami kong iniyak na ako lang ang nakakaalam.

Ang dami kong nalampasan na pagsubok na akala ko hindi ko kakayanin.

Grabe lang!

Hindi pa tapos yung taon pero ang dami kong babaunin na aral for next year.

What made this year special is that..

🌸 I became a mom.

🌸 I now have a deeper relationship with God.

🌸 I had the courage to take the leap of faith and embrace myself as I evolve.

🌸 I know how to listen to my body if I need rest.

🌸 I met a LOT of amazing people from different seminars and personal development courses!

🌸 I have visited a lot of amazing places for FREE and enjoyed good food for FREE as well!

🌸 I gained clarity and awareness with what I want!

And last but not the least..

🌸 I am surrounded with loving and supportive people!

Ang daming naging ups and downs ngayong taon.

Pero ang dami din palang breakthroughs.

Sabi na nga ba eh..

Aayon din sa akin ang tadhana! 🥹

Today, I just stepped into the state of flowing with joy and gratitude! 🥰 And here’s what happened..

👉 I received a compliment that I am an attractive manager! I attract achievers daw. For me, oo nga no?! Ang diverse pala ng magiging team ko. They have their own strengths. ☺️

👉 I got a zoom extension from 5 meetings to 8! Which means I can accommodate 8 more client meetings online and hassle free! Yay! 🥰

👉 Super smooth ng naging biyahe namin kanina ni Primo! Ang bait ng driver, may ready na siyang panukli and ang pinakanakakagulat, ang bilis ng biyahe! 😅 On a weekday, that’s not usual! 😅

👉 I received shoes and some clothes from a relative abroad. Tapos ang dami ding binigay na damit kay Primo. Grabe! Super thank you po sa nagbigay kasi makakatipid kami sa damit niya! 🤭

And the list will go on kasi hindi pa naman tapos ang araw.

Today, I choose to have fun while doing the things I love! 🌸 Cause I am doing things all with love! 💖

I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF SETTING INTENTIONS.

Yes!!!

👉 Intention kong mainsure ka.

Imagine the peace of mind it will bring you and your family that when something happens to you, may mapagkukunan ka ng funds.

👉 Intention ko na magprovide ng opportunity sa iba.

Deserve mo rin ng career na may “happy pagod”.

👉 Intention ko na through my life, you will meet God.

As I’ve said before, I was once lost and broken. But God paved the way for me to be whole again. And I don’t want you to be broken hearted forever. I want you to find peace. And the only one who can give everlasting peace is God.

So I will keep on sharing God’s goodness and grace in my life. That through me, you’ll be inspired to meet Him and have a personal relationship with Him.

👉 Intention ko mapromote as a Financial Wealth Manager.

My promotion will mean thousands of lives insured and thousands of opportunities provided.

Yes, thousands talaga! Kasi I’ve already asked guidance for me to handle thousands of people.
Hindi man agad agad, but I know this will come.

By setting these intentions, I want to move now with taking actions.

NAIYAK AKO KAGABI!!

Hindi dahil sa pagod kundi dahil sa pinarealize mo sa akin, Lord.

Quick back story..

I attended a whole day conference in Tagaytay yesterday.

Umalis ng bahay ng 4:40am at nakauwi ng 11:08pm.

Ang daming nangyari in between kaya inabot nang ganyan katagal.

I’ll reserve that one for another story.

But anyway, ayun na nga..

Yung katawan ko parang pagod na pagod na pero yung utak at diwa ko parang gising na gising pa.

Hindi ako nakapagdevotion sa umaga kaya naisip ko bago ako matulog magdedevotion muna ako.

Nung natapos ko yung chapter 2 ng Galatians, naiyak na lang ako!

Kasi narealize ko…

AHH. KAYA PALA..

Kaya pala hindi mo pa binibigay sa akin yung gusto ko kasi may gusto ka munang ituro sa akin.

KAYA PALA..

Kasi gusto mo munang maranasan ko yung hirap para the moment na maencounter ko ulit yun, alam ko na kung paano ihandle.

KAYA PALA..

Kaya pala hindi mo pa binibigay kasi hinahanda mo pa yung puso ko.

Talagang naamaze lang ako kung paano mo ko kinausap kagabi.

In Galatians 2:20..

It says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Naiyak ako kasi niremind mo ko ulit that I must put my faith in You, not in my family, not in my career or finances, not even in my own capabilities, but in You who loved me from the very beginning and who gave his life for me.

AHH. KAYA PALA..

Kasi may mas maganda kang plano para sa akin.

Na isang araw, ipagpapasalamat ko na ibinigay mo yun sa akin sa tamang oras, tamang lugar, at tamang panahon.

Mas panatag na yung loob ko.

Kasi alam ko na kapag binigay mo yun sa akin, buong buo na ako. 🤍

Yssa, I will say this again..

𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧!!

This is the compliment I got this morning from a friend.

I told her that I’ve received the same compliment back then pero yung pagiging deserving before hindi ko pa naembody so parang feeling ko hirap ako tumanggap ng compliment, like parang awkward ako magreact about it.

But now, I’m more than willing to embrace who I am. 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗜’𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

SHOWING UP CAN DO WONDERS.

Lately, I’ve been choosing to show up and just be committed even if I don’t feel like it.

Let’s face it.

Hindi naman kasi talaga tayo laging okay.

Energy level check?

Hindi siya laging 10/10.

Sa isang buong araw, it can fluctuate.

At yun ang nangyayari sa akin.

Pero ang galing lang.

Kasi narealize ko na kaya ko pala magshift agad.

Possible pala yun!

And just yesterday, because I consistently showed up sa 2 weeks activity namin sa team, I got a FREE spa treatment as a reward.

Ang saya lang kasi I felt that my efforts were seen and appreciated.

And super grateful ako sa manager ko for her initiative.

Bonus pa na nasama ko si mama!!

It really helps when you are in the right environment.

Mahirap man, nakakapagod man, pero sulit lahat.

Kung nasa sitwasyon ka ngayon na parang pinanghihinaan ka ng loob, nawawalan ng pag-asa, o nawawalan ng gana, ang message ko sayo ngayon ay..

Kapit lang.

Tiwala lang.

Oo nga no?

Akala mo walang impact yung mga tinatanim mo ngayon kasi wala pang results eh.

Gaya ko, recently pansin ko parang fluctuating yung energy ko.

Yung parang nasa “fight” stage ako na G! Laban! pero biglang magiging “flight”.

Meaning parang gusto ko na lang magquit o sumuko.

Pero may mga ipadadala talagang mga tao sayo na i-iinspire ka ulit bumangon, lumaban, o sumubok muli.

Narealize ko na…

Temporary lang pala yung feeling of giving up.

Na gusto ko talagang maggrow.

Na gusto ko talaga magcreate ng sarili kong ripples..

Ripples of change.

Na in one way or another, because of what I do, I’d be able to inspire someone..

To dream again,

To try again,

And to move forward once again.

Kung bibigyan ka ng pagkakataon makausap ang isang taong nasa langit na, sino yun?

Ako, yung tito ko.

Meet tito Beng.

Mabait. Generous. At siyempre Gwapo.

Actually hindi ko na nga matandaan ano meron sa photo na ‘to.

Basta ang alam ko lang super close kami ng kapatid ko sa kanya.

Kami ng kapatid ko ang naging baby niya.

Palagi niya kaming sinasama kapag mamamasyal.

Tapos sa bus pag luluwas, natutuwa kami pag nakakaramdam kami ng alon sa tiyan.

Ewan ko ‘bat may ganun dati. 😅

Grabe, 19 years na pala ang lumipas, tito.

Yung mga baby mo (kami ni Pau), may baby na rin. 🥹

Sobrang namimiss ka na namin.

Pero masaya naman kami na 19 years ka na ring okay, away from pain and illness.

𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜’𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.

Ahh.. Kaya naman pala.

Kaya pala may times na nasstuck ako kasi natatakot ako magfail.

Ay mali!

𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙖𝙠𝙤 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡.

𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙩 𝙠𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙗𝙖 𝙣𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙖𝙠𝙤.

Bakit?

Kasi ang pangit sa feeling.

Ang pangit sa pakiramdam na masabihan ka ng..

Sabi ko kasi sayo umalis ka na dyan eh.

O di kaya..

Sabi ko sayo hindi madali yang pinasok mo eh.

Parang ang hirap kasi idefend ng vision mo pag wala ka pang drastic results.

Pero reality check..

Wala naman kasi talagang overnight success.

Kasi yung success stories online, for sure there’s a lot of time, effort, discipline and dedication that went with it.

And personally, I have to go through with the process.

Hindi ko yun matatakasan.

Parang ngayon nagsink in sakin yung “𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚.”

Kasi oo nga no?

𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣, 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙.

And so even if I think I’m resisting failure, I’m gonna be here showing up, giving my best shot..

Sharing not just my wins but also my challenges.

Learning from my mistakes and failures.

And eventually one day, breakthroughs naman ang ikkwento ko.
