The wait is finally over—Volume 1 of BEYOND BORDERS is here! It’s now available on major Amazon platforms and other online stores for readers outside Nepal. The official launch in Kathmandu will follow shortly, with dates to be announced.
BEYOND BORDERS is the result of years of patience, perseverance, and countless sleepless nights. It brings together remarkable works from Nepali writers, translated into English, showcasing poems, short stories, drama, and essays from both classic and contemporary Nepali literature. The best part? A new volume will be released every year on International Translation Day!

BEYOND BORDERS is finally here.

BEYOND BORDERS is an annual publication by translateNepal that presents classic and contemporary Nepali literature through translation. Each edition features a collection of poems, short stories, essays, and dramas from distinguished Nepali writers. Released annually on International Translation Day, the first edition is set for publication on 30th September 2024 and highlights significant works from Nepal’s literary domain that deserve global attention.

This volume includes the timeless poetry of Devkota, Rimal, and Bhupi, alongside modern voices like Momila, Shrawan Mukarung, Avaya Shrestha, and Saraswati Pratikshya. It also showcases masterpieces by Guru Prasad Mainali, BP Koirala, Poshan Pandey, and Parijat, as well as contemporary stories from Padmavati Singh, Ramlal Joshi, and Bina Theeng. Additionally, it features essays by notable writers such as Hridaya Chandra, Bhairav Aryal, Shankar Lamichhane, and Roshan Sherchan, and dramas from pioneers like Bhimnidhi Tiwari and Ashesh Malla.
