Lost in my Mind is a collection of digital dub songs, I took a lot of influence from traditional dub artists like Scientist and King Tubby as well as more modem experimental electronic/indie artists like Ratatat and Tame Impala.

This whole EP was a exploration in finding my sound and I'm really happy with the direction of the final thing.

I even hid a unreleased song, Sunday Morning, where I do some vocals. That is something that took me a little bit out of my comfort zone, to say the least.

This was a lot of fun to do and only the start of where I'd like things to go. I have lots of music in the chamber ready to go and this is the first of many releases this year.

New single out tomorrow!

Hey y’all,

I have a new song called Hush coming out tomorrow, though it’s entirely a coincidence that the release date happens to be on Canada Day.

I haven’t celebrated Canada Day for several years now, in recognition of both the historical and ongoing realities of Indigenous Peoples in this country. The biological and cultural genocide committed against Indigenous Peoples can’t be summed up as a “dark and shameful chapter of our past”.

Learning about the forced sterilization of Indigenous women, the abuse and murder of children in Residential Schools, the lack of access to clean drinking water, and the disproportionate rates of poverty and incarceration among Indigenous communities made it impossible for me to justify celebrating it any longer. There are lots of great educational resources online for those willing to learn more.

So tomorrow, any revenue generated from Hush, or any of my other music (including Ursa Bright) will be donated to the Legacy of Hope Foundation; A charitable organization creating awareness and understanding about the Residential School system.
