November 13th 1978, 46 years ago, Siouxsie and The Banshees released their debut album, ‘The Scream’. The Scream was met with widespread critical acclaim; it was seen as an original musical development in rock music. It strongly influenced post-punk, noise rock and alternative rock genres and rock guitar playing in general. Groups including Joy Division and Killing Joke have cited it as an influence.
