Meet Viggo, the featured Philippine Eagle of our new P1,000 bill.

The Story of Viggo - From Egg to Bill.

Viggo was hatched on March 27, 2010. He is the 23rd Philippine eagle bred in captivity produced by one of the Philippine Eagle Center's prolific pairs, LDI (female) and Tsai (male).

At 8 months old, Viggo was released in a forest in Bukidnon. However he became so habituated to humans that he approached a nearby village.

To avoid any incidents, such as trapping by the local community, thePEF had to retrieve him and bring him back to the center.

Viggo remains at the Philippine Eagle Center anc is now a semen donor in the PEF's Conservation
Breeding Program.

Tinuy-an Falls has four tiers, one of which is hidden from view. Tinuy-an Falls made up for it in width. It measures 95 meters in width making it the widest waterfall in the Philippines.
