Just came from the doctor who told me ′′ there's no more to do, there's only two options to keep him asleep until his body collapses or give him morphine to calm his pains ". My world collapsed and I didn't know how to break that news, alone i knew i had to tell him.

I walked into his room and he smiled at me (I had red eyes and swollen from so much crying) and he said don't cry, I understand it's the end but there's no reason to be sad. He held my hand and caressed me and I immediately hugged him”′′ Don't worry, this is part of life and you have to understand that we're all passing through ′′ (all this while I cried like a child who can't be comforted). When I caught my breath I told him the options and he opted to stay awake so he could be with us for a few more days. The next day he woke up without pain, ate and during the day he was very happy, was laughing and we had a great day (after many bad days)... In the early morning he got sick and around 2pm in the afternoon he passed.

Definitely in the most difficult times is that you know who the real friends or the people who really appreciate who you are. Unfortunately most friendships abandon you and only send you ′′ good vibes," but by far... I decided to post this message in support of a very special person to me who fought firmly and with good energy. Taught me to live every day like the best day! Now I'm looking at those who will have time to read this post until the end. This is a little test, just to see who reads and who shares unread! If you read everything, select ′′ like ′′ so I can put a thank you on your profile. Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body. Even after the fight. It's a very long process. Please in honor of someone who died or is battling cancer, or even had cancer, but healed; copy and paste. Everyone says, ′′ If you need anything, don't hesitate, I'll be there for you."

So I'm going to do a challenge, I think less than half of my friends are going to put this on their wall. Just copy (not share). I want to know who I can count on. As soon as you do, write ′′ done ′′ in the comments.... Cancer has affected us all in some way, whether it's a family member or a friend. We miss you!! We love you always and forever....

Congratulations to one of our overseas based athletes 16 year old Amelia Howman-Smith for winning gold at the Victoria State Championship last week. Amelia won gold in the U18 100m hurdles competition leading into Australia Nationals competition.
