: Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory for Zapata, Hebbronville, and Falfurrias
ZAPATA, Texas — The National Weather Service in Brownsville, Texas, has issued multiple urgent weather advisories for Zapata, Jim Hogg, and Brooks counties, including the cities of Zapata, Hebbronville, and Falfurrias.
As of 12:36 p.m. CST on Sunday, January 19, 2025, a Freeze Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. CST Monday. Cold Weather Advisory also remains in effect for the same period. Additionally, an Extreme Cold Watch is in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday morning, accompanied by a Freeze Watch for the same timeframe.

- Freeze Warning: Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 31°F expected.
- Cold Weather Advisory: Very cold wind chills as low as 22°F expected.
- Extreme Cold Watch: Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 19°F possible.
