On Tonight's Episode, host Freddy Vazquez talks with Christine Peters, one of the founders of Yonkers Parents Seeking Solutions, a Coalition with over 500 members. Their objective, simple, to unify parents of Yonkers Public Schools students, in order to improve the overall quality of the educational experience offered to their children. Currently, the Yonkers Public School System has a budget of $700 million dollars. However, they seem to consistently fall short every year. As a result, the School District in Yonkers, has seen a gradual decline in resources, programs and the graduation rate, which according to a recent Research Paper done by a group of Educators who looked at the available data for several months, concluded that, the possibility exist that indicate Yonkers could be falsely representing the rate at which students graduate by fudging the numbers.
