ATTENTION ALL YAZOO COUNTY BUSINESSES!
Our storefront decorating contest is now open for entries!

Last year, we had some amazing entries and we know y'all are ready to show us your amazing decorations for this year!

This year we included a free day of voting for the last day where you will not need a google account to vote and that includes unlimited voting!

The winner will receive $500 and their own post on our page featuring their business however, the top 3 will be recognized!

***All entries are due on December 12th and the quiz will be open to the public from December 13th - December 20th!***

Jamie Patterson gave a presentation to the Yazoo Rotary Club this week about a series she recently published in The Yazoo Herald about the Asylum Hill Project. She is the editor and publisher of the local newspaper.

Pictured with Kay and Austin is Manchester Academy school counselor Macie Daniels. Macie is the MA Rotary Interact Club sponsor and Austin is a member of the Interact Club and will be a senior in the fall.

Yazoo Valley was pleased to join the Yazoo County Economic Development District today to help welcome Roses Express to the Yazoo City business community. The new store is located on Jerry Clower Boulevard in the former Fred’s building.

Rebecca Yeates spoke to the Yazoo City Rotary Club this week about the Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association’s focus on providing the best possible service to its members.
She was joined by General Manager Michael Neely, and fellow Rotarian Jason Patterson, who serves as communications specialist for the local electric cooperative.

We are receiving reports from members who are receiving calls from scam artists claiming to represent Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association and attempting to collect payments. Some of these callers have been very convincing.
If you receive a call and have any doubts about who you are speaking with, hang up and call us at 662-746-4251.
Also be careful when searching online. Search engines sometimes provide results to other entities claiming to represent Yazoo Valley. These are not legitimate.
We only accept online payments through our website at www.yazoovalley.com or through our smartphone app. If you ever have any questions about using these features, please call us or visit our office.

Eddie Luse, director of Veterans Services for Yazoo County, gave an informative presentation this week about services available to local veterans. Veterans can visit his office in the former Armory on Gordon Avenue on Mondays and Tuesdays to learn about services they can benefit from.
He was the guest of Rotarian Carolyn Shipp.
