THIS IS BIG NEWS: Seagate turns 30 this year, 2020. In celebration, I’ve decided to leave on a high note and retire. I have two more positions in process, and then that's it. I have loved just about every single day. You will never know how much I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of you. I’ve shared laughs, tears, joys and sadness with so many of you. Being a recruiter gave me an opportunity to genuinely get to know you and your family. And it’s been an honor. Through social media and conversations, I see many of you excelling in careers, accepting awards, promotions, publishing articles, speaking at conferences and sometimes retiring. I hope we will continue to stay in touch, simply as friends with a common history. I’ll keep the same email: [email protected] and phone: 910-392-0047.
What am I going to do, you may wonder? I have been designing and making stained glass as a side hustle for years. I’m going to enjoy a lot more of that. I’m on Instagram at Seagateglass and I’ll have my page up and running in February, also called Seagateglass. If you’d like to buy a piece of glass, I would LOVE to make one for you. Also, I’m called “Honey” by my 9 grandkids, two live nearby, so I think there’s going to be a lot more grandma-ing going on. And lastly, Bill and I love to travel, so that’s high on my to-do list. I’ll give you advance warning, but maybe I’ll call you for a cup of coffee or glass of wine sometime if I’m in your area.
Again, thank you for letting me share your careers with each of you. It’s truly been my dream job for 30 years.
