Calcite Tall Vase Inlaid with Faience

A brownish residue from a perfumed oil was found inside this Egyptian alabaster tall vase from the Tomb of Tutankhamun. Oils, essential for rituals, were highly valued.

The Tomb of Tutankhamun contained various artifacts, including perfumed oil vases. This vase was discovered during the excavation of his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. It is believed that the vase was used to hold perfumed oils or other aromatic substances, which were commonly used in ancient Egyptian rituals and for personal grooming. This vase is an example of the intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterized ancient Egyptian art and culture.

Statue of Senusret II

The statue offers a naturalistic treatment of the eyes and mouth and is found in the sculptures of Nofret and in this unsubscribed bust attributed to King Senusret II.

During the reign of Senusret II, the image of the king was transformed both textually and visually, with signs of age appearing that include a wrinkled forehead, heavy brows, bags under the eyes, and a furrowed expression.

The Mummy of Pacheri _مومياء باتشيري
إحدى أروع المومياوات من حيث دقة وبراعة عملية التحنيط المنفذة بها، والتى ساعدت بشكل مثالى على حفظ جثة المتوفى حتى يومنا هذا ، وتعتبر المومياء الوحيدة حتى الآن بأعضائها الكاملة لهذا الرجل المصري .

كشفت الأشعة السينية أن المومياء لرجل بالغ عاش في العصر البطلمي في القرن الثالث قبل الميلاد ،ويطلق عليها مومياء باتشيري
على الرغم من أن قراءة الاسم لا تزال في خلاف لصعوبة قراءة اسمه وانعدام المعلومات التاريخية عنه.

وعلي الرغم أن المومياء يعود تاريخها للعصر البطلمي، إلا أننا نجدها محنطة تمامًا، وفق التقاليد المصرية القديمة ، وبشكل مثالى وبدرجة عالية من الدقة جعلتها تتفوق على بعض المومياوات التى تعود لملوك مصريين ، وأهم ما يُميزها طريقة لف اللفائف الكتانية على المومياء على هيئة مربعات متداخلة ومتشابكة، وهو على عكس المعتاد عليه فى باقى المومياوات حيث يتم لف أشرطة الكتان بشكل دائرى منتظم حول الجسد.

كان هناك قناع جنائزي (يوضع الآن بجوار المومياء) ، مزين بجعران مجنح ، رمز الولادة.
توجد بمتحف اللوفر بباريس ، فرنسا.
