An anniversary of sorts! Remember, you can listen to my History 101 episode and hear more about the Scioto Company and our founding at WorthingtonStories.com or on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other platforms.

Two hundred twenty years ago today, on December 1st, 1803 the Scioto Company held its first meeting in Worthington at Mr. Bristol's cabin on the north side of the public square. It appears Kilbourn had just arrived and that there was unfinished business relating to the cabins, the sawmill and the harvest.

Each day since the arrival of these early settlers, (and through time before them too!) history has been made every day in Worthington. Consider joining the Worthington Historical Society today, and all new memberships will extend 18 months for the price of 12. Your support through membership will help the Society continue to collect, preserve and share the stories of this community across history!

A little cross-promotion to thank High Road Gallery and Studios for their help with our last episode! Stopped by the other day and found there's a TON of great stuff hanging right now AND a sale approaching -- their resident show starts Nov. 25, and will feature 100 works of art available for $100 or less! Some great gift ideas there, for sure. I picked up some pretty cards by Yani Sheng and a bookmark. I'll be stopping back by!
