The Knightly News: Episode 1
As our first segment of the Knightly News (our broadcasting news network), senior Tommy Lavin interviewed Senior Captain Jack Yasko and Senior David Sullivan ahead of the football teamโs big game on Sunday. The team is set to play their homecoming game on Sunday at Polar Park v. Littleton. Listen in as they are asked questions ahead of the big matchup. We look forward to seeing a lively fan section at the game. And as always, Go Knights! #SaintPaulGazette #KnightlyNews ๐

The United States has reached the horrific milestone of 500,000 deaths due to COVID-19. In less than a year, more than a half-million Americans have died due to COVID-19. To put this in perspective, the amount of American deaths during this pandemic equates the population of Kansas City, Miami, or Sacramento. Furthermore, the death toll equates the amount of American soldiers who died in World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, combined.
These people were mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers. They were first responders, teachers, factory employees, essential workers. They were Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, non-practicing. Many times, they were not able to see their loved ones before they took their last breathsโ leaving this Earth alone.
Often, the detrimental toll this pandemic has taken numbs many to think of these numbers as mere statistics. However, no matter political affiliation, we must all recognize and remember that each person represented in this statistic is someone who passed awayโ someone whose death has left a void in the lives of their families and friends.
May we pray for all of those lost, for their families, and that we may all continue to follow public health protocols so more families do not have to lose loved ones to the magnitude of the current day.

The US has reached a sobering milestone of 400,000 deaths from COVID-19. Oftentimes, they have been dismissed as statistics. However, those lost were mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends. Many were hospitalized, and were not able to have their families by their side as they took their last breaths. ๏ฟฝ
