👋 I’m Keli, co-founder and creative director at Gumview Creative!

I was born and raised in South Africa, but California has been my home now for 17 years. With over 20 years of experience in the creative industry, and a background in marketing and Illustration, I’ve had the chance to design all the things! I can create a new logo for your small business - or provide you with full company branding. From digital design and social media marketing campaigns to event flyers, posters and custom illustrations, every part of your design project is created by ME - we don’t outsource your work. By keeping everything in-house, we maintain our exceptional standard of work AND that personal touch. We always work directly with our clients to make sure they’re thrilled with the end result of our shared vision.
 
Fun fact: I wrote and illustrated an award-winning children’s book (about NOSES) called Norris the Nostrileer!

Another fun fact: I worked as an animator on South Africa’s first animated tv series (URBO: The adventures of Pax Africa)

Congratulations to our the winner of our contest!

Our friends at wanted their logo to be “cleaned up, but keep the colors and icon”. We learned that the icon was created from a photo of Marvin when he was first starting out. He hoped we could preserve the integrity of his story while creating a fresh, yet timeless logo that could grow with his company.

We updated the type, incorporated the icon in a modern and subtle way and tweaked the colors to create a cohesive new brand that wasn’t too far of a cry from what Marvin loved about his old logo. Swipe for his review!

A common problem with ugly logos is that they’re using outdated techniques, visuals and effects. Trendy or fancy fonts can quickly become stale.

If your logo has been working for your brand for a long time, it might not need a complete overhaul, but sometimes an update as simple as a change in typography, color scheme or iconography can make your company’s logo appear more contemporary to its target market.

Templates look good, and can easily be customized with your company name. They are made to appeal to a wide range of people. BUT it’s one thing to APPEAL to a wide audience, and another to be REMEMBERED by that audience.

By hiring a professional, you’ll get a logo that uniquely reflects your brand’s personality and values, and stands out in a crowded market.

Our very own Keli Colombini wrote and illustrated an award-winning children's book!

'Norris the Nostrileer' tells the story of a girl who thinks her nose is ‘wonky’, and sets off to find a new one! Her adventure introduces her to noses and nostrils of all shapes and sizes, before she ultimately discovers the beauty and uniqueness of her own.

This quirky story carries a message of self-love whilst being easy to read and hilarious, with a concept that can be carried over into so many facets of our lives.

"Body positivity is so important, and self-worth is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. I wrote and illustrated this book for children ages 3-7. My hope is that this story will help children understand and accept their uniquenesses, and appreciate the differences amongst their peers."
