Screenshots of the Press Democrat coverage of the sentencing that occurred yesterday after Sylvia Bracamonte’s killer pled not guilty by reason of insanity.

This is not an endorsement of The Press Democrat, but no other outlet is covering the story at this time. At least, not to my knowledge. And breaking news is not my strength.

Still, I wanted to share something about how this non-trial ended, so here it is.

Please hold space in your hearts for those closest to Sylvia, who will have to carry the weight of this injustice for the rest of their lives.

I’m getting word that the Sonoma County District Attorney’s office will be dropping all criminal charges in relation to Sylvia Bracamonte’s violent death.

Save the date October 9th @ 8:30 am to protest this decision at the next hearing. Location: Santa Rosa Criminal Courthouse (600 Administrative Drive)

The updates I have for you about the court cases relevant to the violent death of Sylvia Bracamonte are not positive. The murder trial is delayed, again. The civil lawsuits filed by her family are in jeopardy. Now, more than ever, we must remember Sylvia’s history of advocacy and activism and show up for her the way she would show up for us 💜

I’m The Press Democrat’s biggest hater, but this latest coverage on the murder of Sylvia Bracamonte is a pretty solid summary!

A trial date has been set for August for the criminal case, in which Anderson Edgar Quinonez-Cabeza has been charged with murder.
