AMENDED BYLAWS
OF THE
CLARK COUNTY SADDLE CLUB, INC. Members sixteen years of age and older are considered adults. Section 2: The Board of Directors reserves the right to dismiss from membership any member who is guilty of misconduct. ARTICLE II: DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1: The President shall preside at all business meetings of the club, sha
ll appoint all standing committees and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees. Section 2: The Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President and shall be responsible for filling program vacancies. Section 3: The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the club and present the minutes to the club for approval. Section 4: The Corresponding Secretary shall notify the membership and the local newspaper, in advance, of time and place of functions by mail, e-mail or other electronic means. Section 5: The Treasurer shall collect and keep a record of all dues collected and all financial transactions, pay all bills and collect monies due the club. ARTICLE III: NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
Section 1: Officers shall be elected at the January business meeting. Section 2: Installation of officers shall be at the time of election. Section 3: Should any office become vacant, it shall be filled at a meeting by the Board of Directors. Section 4: Should any member so act as to bring dishonor to the club or any officer use his/her office in such a way contrary to the good intent of the club, he/she may be asked to resign by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. ARTICLE IV: MEETINGS
Section 1: Business meetings shall be held in Clark County, Kentucky. Section 2: A majority of adult membership present at meetings shall constitute a quorum. Section 3: A majority shall constitute a quorum at the Board of Directors meeting. Section 4: Membership meetings shall be held on the third Monday night of every month at 6:30 p.m. ARTICLE V: DUES AND FINANCE
Section 1: The annual dues shall be $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages six through age sixteen. The dues are payable at the beginning of the club year, January 1, and shall be considered delinquent on March 1. Section 2: All members must pay their dues before exercising the privileges of the club. Section 3: New members must pay dues in full for the entire year regardless of when they join. Section 4: Any outlay of club funds exceeding $100.00 shall be approved or disapproved by the membership at a regular business meeting. ARTICLE VI: GUESTS
Members shall be permitted to bring guests to any meeting and/or trail ride one time only. ARTICLE VII: DRINKING AND PROFANITY
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages and no profanity at any time during a trail ride or parade or at any public gathering where members of the club participate as a unit. ARTICLE VIII: SUPERVISION
The trail boss and his/her assistant shall be in full charge of the trail ride where he/she is host. All members and their guests must be responsible for their horse or horses, tack, etc. and also for any accidents encountered during any club activity. The Clark County Saddle Club, Inc, cannot be held responsible for any damage to any article nor any injury incurred by any person during any club activity. ARTICLE IX: RESTRICTIONS
Stallions and foals will not be permitted on any rides. ARTICLE X: AMENDMENTS
These bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the Board of Directors provided the Amendment has been presented to the membership at a previous business meeting. The foregoing Amended Bylaws of the Clark County Saddle Club, Inc., were presented to the entire club and favorably acted thereon at a regular monthly meeting on, March 19, 2012, and were adopted by a majority vote of the Board of Directors of said club on March 19, 2012.
