Building an Earthship
Mike and Kym Prell of Martinsville have spent the last three years building a new house — but not just any house. They're building an Earthship, a fully sustainable structure built using recycled materials like tires and cans. Thanks to the help of volunteers, the Prells are closer to their goal of living completely off the grid. In this video we talk to Mike and spend some time "cobbing," or filling in the gaps between tires with mud and aluminum cans.
