I’ve been working with an Army National Guard Vet who’s been fighting to get some hearing loss rating and he finally got the letter today! 60% rating (that’s combined with other ratings) 🙂

I recently had the chance to interview a veteran who works alongside the 911 team and I got to take a tour of the brand-new Wood County 911 facility. This facility boasts a team of tireless individuals who are passionate about providing aid to those requiring it.

It's been a phenomenal week here with Echoes of Service! I had the chance to conduct a full-length interview with Army Veteran SSG C. Perkins, and I was also privileged to speak with Army Veteran Zach Knight. Zach and I recorded two motivational episodes. One where we talked about his time in service and the second focused on the dangers of PTSD not only for Veterans, but anyone. We also discussed a book her brought called “Wounded Spirits”, which talks about different ways to deal with PTSD in a biblical sense.

Over the last few weeks I’ve had a person (troll) dm’ing me saying I am not actually a Veteran. That I’m not being truthful about my name or my service. That I’m only doing this podcast for the money! Heads up du***ss I make NOTHING from this podcast! I have no sponsorships and I’m footing the bills for it all myself!

Now I’m not perfect, I wasn’t a a perfect Solider. I put others first, I stood up to higher ups when I believed they were wrong.

I was going to just ignore this, but this person just said he was going to call the VA and Law Enforcement, so I’m putting this out now. You don’t like my name, grow up, you don’t like I’m making a Veteran Podcast trying to help other Veterans? How bout you stop being an arm chair blogger and get up and do something yourself. Because I am now, just like I’ve done most of entire life. Because it’s right, DM me some dumb s**t again and I’ll put your stupid, ignorant, racist s**t all over social media.

Jessica is a former United States Army soldier who served in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. On March 23, 2003, Private First Class Lynch's convoy was ambushed by Iraqi forces during the Battle of Nasiriyah.

Currently, Jessica works with veterans as the Women Veteran Program Director with the WV Department of Veteran Assistance.

It was an honor to have the opportunity to speak with her!
