My name is Dan Tabor. I am a former PISStian evangelist turn former paranormal researcher & writer. Upon going homeless for the 4th time in just 22 years and already trying every prayer, spell, candle & psychic known, I soon discovered the writings of DR Joseph Nickell, The Skeptical Inquirer, Skeptic Magazine, lectures by Sam Harris, James Randi, Richard Dawkins and several other free thinkers of facts and science. Let's just say I quickly burned my Sylvia Browne & James Van Praag books! My eyes, mind & heart finally open to skeptical investigation, critical facts & most of all scientific evidence refuting & rebuking dogmatic religion (of all types & faiths). I love people, all people & cultures and it absolutely pains me whenever (for example) small children are indoctrinated & forced fed religious IDIOCY! I joined Atheist Nexus online and quickly discovered literally a world wide existence of fellow atheists & skeptics, scientists, theists and Hamnists much like myself, kindred and united to (borrow the incredibly cheesy PISStian term "Fight The Good Fight") against religious dogma, stereotypes & harsh/unfair judging & condemming of others. Through my Buddhist Philosophical training, education & meditations I apply one simple rule in life and in my relationships with others and that is the fact that we are ALL connected. Human Beings, Animals, Nature, Universe, Constellations, sun, moon, ocean, forest, cat, mouse, dog, etc...and although the world, man & beast often invokes & attributes some of the most heinous and brutal acts upon one another, some of the greatest harm upon society is infact religious indifference & fundamentalist beliefs. My hope is that many much like myself-as of late-will WAKE UP, shake off the guilt ridden, judgmental & condemning chains of religious fanaticism and simply BE FREE, BE YOU & contribute your original, unique & creative glow of love, truth & knowledge to influence many, many more.
