Today, St. Patrick’s Day was an anniversary for me of sorts. It was 81 years ago today that my brother carried me while I bled out 2 1/2 miles after a serious car accident to St Luke’s Hospital for Dr. McGrew to save my life.
With this in mind I got to thinking. What things would be like if Dr. McGrew hadn’t done his magic.
First of all, I wouldn’t have existed the past 81 years. Then my three kids wouldn’t also exist today. Nor my many blood grandkids. My two wives would have most likely found other loves. There wouldn’t also have existed A Denmark photo studio, Accent bridal shop nor our KCTU Tv station that plays to the World.
When you are feeling like the world wouldn’t miss you when you are gone you have to look back and take some satisfaction in what you have accomplished so far. You hope someone else has enjoyed your accomplishments so it all wasn’t a total loss.

PROGRAMMING NOTICE
The Daystar Television Network has completed a total rebuild and in addition to a new higher power Transmitter, they have added two new channels. 28.1. Daystar primary channel, 28.2 Daystar Spanish Language Channel and 28.3 is showing the new soothing sights and sounds Channel.
You will need to rescan your TV to receive the 28. Channels.

I updated today, as my entire feed was ads. After I did this, yeah I see everyone again. I’m not sure how it works, but it did?

A few years ago as I became a bit older I developed a hard of hearing condition. My daughter bought me my first set of Eargo hearing aids. Then a few years later she bought me my second new and improved version. Then as I and my Eargo’s got older my son bought me my current version. As is proven by the attached picture this makes three different versions I have owned.
Up until now Eargo has always honored their warranty. If one or more of their of products had a malfunction they pleasantly replaced their product . My second version had lots of problems and they were replaced without a problem.
My current version is a model 7 and is touted as the first OTC model and better than the rest. Recently my left then my right battery’s began running down sooner than they should.
Now, as a result of policy or personnel changes or both the friendly service changed to one that gives nothing but lip service instructing me to clean the ear piece, as I always do, and discharge then recharge both the case and ear pieces. Since this is in my regular care I knew it wasn’t going to help. But I followed instructions to no avail.
In any case they are no longer willing to honor their warranty and replace the Eargo hearing aids during their 2 year warranty offering only lip service . While several of my friends have bought Eargo’s based on my recommendation I no longer recommend the Eargo hearing aids. Don’t spend your money on anything that the manufacturer doesn’t back up! And Eargo doesn’t stand behind their hearing aids any longer! Eargo Isn’t What it used to be!
Anyone else with similar problems?

As I posted earlier, our former news director RJ Dickens passed away on June 24th. Among his few possessions we found copies of receipts and statements for what he spent his meager income. While alive he took out a“ title loan” line of credit on his car for about $1000. Papers we found showed he had drawn about $800 and had paid it down to $751 he still owed 5 months later. However, during this same 5 months he had paid $953 interest. That interest was charged at 270 %…….that’s right 270%!
Just a few years ago 19% was called usory and our state lawmakers were looking out for those who needed help most.
Over the time since, apparently money under the table has encouraged the lawmakers to change our laws in such a way that Title Loan businesses have flourished and those that needed help the most were left to hurt more.
Laws need to be changed once again to control the ridiculous amount that can be charged by Title Loan businesses and the lawmakers should go back to making money in legitimate ways that protect the hard up Kansans.
In the meantime, stay clear of a “Title Loan on your car or anything!
