GODDARD – The newly renovated Goddard Community Center was re-opened to the public on Monday evening with an open house and a Goddard Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. The center had been closed since August to allow for a remodel of the interior.

Some maintenance will impact travel at Sedgwick County Park this week.

Attention North Sedgwick County Park visitors! Starting July 10, the road to the Playscape parking lot and Plum Shelter will be closed for pipeline maintenance for two days. But don't worry - the Playscape will remain open! We appreciate your understanding as we make these necessary updates.

The odds of finding a four-leafed clover are 1 in 10,000, so if you DO actually ever find one then the odds were in your favor and I would say that makes you pretty darn lucky.

St. Patrick himself DID NOT WEAR GREEN! His color was actually, “St. Patrick’s blue”, a lighter shade in the blue family. The color green only became associated with the holiday after the Irish Independence movement in the late 18th century.

☘️ FACT ☘️: MARCH 17TH IS WHEN ST. PATRICK DIED

St. Patrick died on March 17, 461 AD. This celebration is actually a celebration for St. Patrick’s entrance to heaven, not his birth or his arrival to Ireland.
