Spiral Out Storm Spotters

Spiral Out Storm Spotters We stream, film and report severe weather around North Alabama and Lower Tenn. \m/ \m/ My name is Jeff Anderson and I'm originally from Wichita, Ks. in 1984.

I've been fascinated by weather since I was a youngling, watching the thunderheads develop many miles away and roll in across the plains. I moved to Huntsville, Al. On Nov.15 1989, I experienced my first tornado, the "Airport Road Tornado". I was amazed by the lack of warning and destruction it caused. For many years I just photographed lightning and cloud formations. I started a family in 1998 so

didn't risk myself....... until April 27 2011. My children were getting older and I needed to fulfill my life long dream of spotting and chasing. I'm a certified Skywarn spotter and part of the Spotter Network. I stream LIVE video on Facebook Live. Thanks for liking us. Sit back, Stay safe, and enjoy the ride. The storm is a symbol of the cyclic wrestling we must do with ourself and our past in order to better ourselves. The β€˜storm’ aptly embodies meditative calm and tumultuous thought.......... Winds will increase into Thursday afternoon. Gusts will range between 35 and 45 mph in many areas throughout the day. We expect the max wind gusts to arrive with the storms ahead of the cold front. Wind gusts between 50 and 70 mph will be possible with these storms. There will be about a two hour window for these types of high winds and tornadoes. Based on the latest forecast guidance here are the times we expect to see the most intense weather for a few communities. Stay weather alert.

2/15, 7:35am: Unfortunately, when we get warm weather this time of the year, storms usually follow. We'll see that on Thursday with severe storms possible during the afternoon and evening hours. Damaging winds are the main hazard, but plenty of shear exists for a few tornadoes as well. Stay tuned for the latest updates.

A bolt of lightning that stretched nearly 500 miles across three U.S. states is the new world record holder for longest flash. The single flash extended 477.2 miles (768 kilometers) across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi in April 2020, the World Meteorological Organization said Monday.
