SummitMedia is made of talented people who go above and beyond in the workplace. The October 2021 talent showcase features Phil Thompson from Wichita, KS.

Thompson has worked on-air in his hometown of Wichita Kansas since 1980 and has hosted the morning drive show on 104.5 The Fox since November 2006. Phil also serves as the KFXJ music director where he helped lead the Fox to a first ever #1 position 25-54 in July and August of 2021! When Phil isn’t on-air or scheduling great Classic Rock music, you can find him out in the community with Fox listeners or emceeing charity events including “Zoobilee” for the Sedgwick County Zoo and “Furball” for Beauties and Beasts 11th hour rescue that raised more than $100,000 per event! In addition to these great causes, Phil also created “Funnel Cakes for the Food Banks” during the early on-set of the COVID-19 pandemic that raised over $50,000 for the Kansas Food Bank. Additionally, Phil has a monthly challenge with the Wichita mayor that has included axe throwing, rock climbing, bowling, goat milking, and more. These challenges have created a tie to the city, city officials, and residents that is untouchable by any other media personality in Wichita.

Outside of work Phil enjoys relaxing at home next to the fire pit with a signature cocktail in hand.

T95 is KICT-FM, a Mainstream Rock station originating from Wichita, Kansas. The station recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. T95's rock star line-up includes The Todd and Tyler morning show from 5a-10a, Hardy from 10a-3p, and Meatball from 3p-7p.

T95 serves Wichita by helping local community groups raise funds and awareness. GraceMed, Passageways, Wichita's Littlest Heroes, Veteran Community Partnerships, and many other local groups partner with T95 each year.
