Hoovie Helped Me Find My Volvo V70R, So I Broke His Mini To Thank Him
If a friend asks you to go to the track to "help" break one of his cars, you gotta go.
That's exactly what happened when Tyler Hoover of Hoovie's Garage asked me to drive his 2004 Mini Cooper S at the track alongside him this past weekend. It was my first time at Heartland Motorsports Park, so naturally I signed up for the "advanced" drivers group and sent it.
Also, I accomplished my mission of breaking the car.

I'm back in sunny (humid) Atlanta, GA to see Ed Bolian of VINwiki ! After we were done filming some Car Stories, he offered to let me drive a few of his cars. As an avid Car Trek fan and owner of a former Car Trek car, I was instantly drawn to drive the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Aside from being one of the cars that helped launch the now famous series, this car is also special because its a gated manual! Also it was very, very flood damaged at some point... But thats not important!

Sometimes life gives you lemons... Other times life gives you once in a lifetime opportunities.
Today, I had the INSANE opportunity to drive one of my childhood dream cars... A Mercedes-Mclaren SLR. But not just any SLR... This one used to belong to Paris Hilton. The famous previous ownership means it was THE car from some of the most famous pictures of the early 2000's. The Britney Spears shot, as well as the famous night when Paris, Lindsey Lohan, and Britney all went out on the town... This car has seen it all. But now its owned by Ed Bolian .
When Ed had me over to do Car Stories to VINwiki , he was gracious enough to allow me to drive his SLR. This was my experience!

Welome to Monterey Car Week day 3! Today, Colin and I start the day off going to Bonhams Car Auction courtesy of Tyler giving us some wristbands. After that, we hit up ocean avenue for some lunch and car spotting. Then, we have to abruptly leave lunch because Tyler Hoover of Hoovie's Garage offered to give us his access to the quail.... That means we got to see the new Lamborghini Countach, visit the Bugatti booth, see the new Lotus lineup, and more!

Day 2 in Monterey didn't disappoint....
Leguna Seca track days, Lamborghinis, Teslas, and car spotting... What a day!
Monterey Car Week is just getting started and we've already had quite the experience. Every racing car of significance was at Leguna Seca, and seeing @Hoovies Garage run in the Countach lap was nuts! After that, Colin and I took the Tesla Model X P90D to the RM Sotheby's auction, and snuck in! The cars driving around town are incredible!

Teaching My Wife How To Drive MANUAL On My FREE BMW 528i... In The SNOW!
Have you guys ever wondered what my wife looks like? Do you also wonder if she knows how to drive stick shift? Well today, you'll get answers to both of those questions and more!
Yes, you read that title correctly. Today I am teaching my wife Kenzie how to drive a manual transmission, in the snow, when it's 14 degrees outside. And what better car to learn on than my 1997 BMW 528i that I got for FREE from Tyler Hoover of Hoovie's Garage. It's got a boatload of smooth torque, and the snow on the ground should help reduce some of the drivetrain shock that a lot of new manual drivers tend to induce. Speaking of snow, this is a great time to teach her how to do a little snow drifting!
So come along as you get to have a sneak peak of what it's like to be in the car while teaching my wife how to drive a manual transmission.
