International submissions are also accepted, but a hard copy of the journal will not be mailed to the contributor. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged and accepted, but please notify us  immed...

Student writers, here's an opportunity for you!

Pulse is still accepting submissions for the upcoming 23-24 edition. The submission window will be open until Dec. 15.

Students are invited to submit creative works such as Poetry, Poetry-in-Translation, Fiction, and Creative Nonfiction, as well as Scholarly Literary Essays.

Last year's issue won two awards for design! Kudos To Kerrigan Reyes for her First-Place win in the Cover Design Category. And a big shout out to all the editors who worked on the issue for the 3rd Place award in Overall Design-Literary Magazine.

Judge Comment: Good balance and variety in themes, length, genre, and subject matter. Particularly good ordering of the publication, with an emotional and thought-provoking journey for the reader. Excellent depth and creativity. For the next edition, perhaps consider a small note tying together the intriguing cover design with the issue theme or the vision of the editorial team in selecting these pieces.
