A young Nick Edwards returns home from a secret overseas mission to protect a foreign government official, only to find out his parents have died and he is suffering from a fast spreading terminal illness. Soon he is visited by a group o

f explorers who tell him he may be the only person in the world who can help them find the secret of eternal life. After Nick is given a dose of an Alchemic elixir that will restore his health for a few years, the group heads out to explore the world to find more elixirs including the elusive Cintrintas elixir, which will keep one alive for a thousand years, and the Rubedo which will make one immortal. Danger awaits as a mysterious competing explorer, who will stop at nothing, to find the secret of athanasia! But the greatest threat may come from inside the group itself!
