Sacramento International Airport Terminal
At approximately 8:40 p.m. Sacramento Fire, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies and Airport Fire were dispatched to the 5th Floor of the Terminal A Parking Structure at Sacramento International Airport for reports of a suicidal subject in a vehicle.
SSD Deputies were trying to make contact with the individual, when a gunshot was heard over the radio. SSD Deputies reported that it was one gunshot coming from the vehicle.
A contact team was made and Deputies approached the vehicle and shot out the back window of the vehicle. Per radio reports the shooter was found deceased inside the vehicle from a self-inflected gunshot wound.
SWAT was deployed but the situation had resolved by the time the team had arrived.
Terminal A was shut down for about forty minutes but has since reopened. Terminal B remained in operation throughout the incident.

Sacramento Police are currently searching for a suspect that fled from officers after crashing into the railroad tracks near Roseville Road and Connie Drive. The suspect fled to the west over the railroad tracks, across a creek and over fences. According to Air 21 radio traffic the suspect is in a backyard near Astoria and Del Paso Blvd.
There is a heavy police presence at this time.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. Sacramento Police attempted a traffic stop on North Market in North Natomas when the driver of a red pickup fled the scene.
The driver led officers on a high speed pursuit throughout Sacramento City and County before colliding with a center divide on South Bound Power Inn at Florin.
The driver, an underage male, and passenger were detained without further incident.
No injuries reported.

Douglas Road and Grant Line Road

At approximately 2:19 p.m. Sacramento Metro Fire were dispatched to Douglas Road and Grant Line Road in Rancho Cordova for reports of an Aircraft Emergency.
Upon arrival fire located a Sacramento County Helicopter had made a hard landing in a field.
Per radio reports all crew members were out of the helicopter and were not injured. The helicopter had sustained some structural damage but was not leaking any fuel.
The Aircraft is approximately 200 yards from Grant Line Road in a very muddy field.

W 6th Street and Elkhorn Blvd
At 5:01 p.m. Sacramento Metro Fire responded to W 6th Street in Rio Linda for reports of a Vegetation Fire.
Initially one engine responded to the fire but quickly upgraded the call to a full response to include Metro Copter 1.
The fire appears to be in storage yard for semi trailers and recreational vehicles. Water has been a major concern at this point. Fire is in the process of laying a progressive hose lay, per radio traffic, from a hydrant almost a mile away. A fire dozer has arrived on scene and are currently in the process of cutting a fire line around the blaze.
Per emergency radio traffic there was concern of a building containing highly flammable material and defensive positions were needed for the building.
Additional traffic indicates fire has a wet line around the fire at thus time. Several large explosions can be heard coming from the main fire.
Traffic control is a major issue for fire crews at this time. Fire has requested traffic control from Sacramento County and City.

Homicide Investigation Update - Front Street and L Street
UPDATE: Thanks to the quick response of officers from the Sacramento Police Department and neighboring police agencies, as well as the diligent work of Sacramento Police detectives, two suspects have been arrested in connection with this shooting. The suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Marcus Trull and 21-year-old Cedric Salcedo. Trull and Salcedo were detained during the initial investigation and were later booked into the Sacramento County Main jail for homicide and felony assault charges."
At this time, it is believed there are no outstanding suspects.
“I would like to thank our community members and business partners for their patience as we worked through this challenging investigation. The safety of our community is the priority of the Sacramento Police Department,” said Sacramento Police Chief Daniel Hahn. “Visitors to Old Sacramento this weekend can expect increased police resources in the area so they may enjoy the atmosphere while feeling secure.
