This is what dreams are made of ✨ Flashing back in my mind to when I owned my own baking business. Many years of hard work and it feels almost surreal to be behind the lens, taking clips and photos of other people perfecting their craft right in front of me. The croissants were perfectly rolled. The pain au chocolate was delicious and crispy and chocolate filled. The cinnamon roll was so flaky and yummy and the middle was middling, if you know what I mean. 🧑‍🍳 😘

This right here is a delicious Muffaletta made at the amazing 🤤 I was truly drooling the whole time I was here. The dishes are made with love and the amazing staff makes you feel so appreciated. 4/4’s on everything! The flavor profiles, the atmosphere, the people. 👏🏽

I spy with my little eye 🍕
Ever heard of a wood fired pizza food truck? Me neither. The second I heard of this existing I knew I needed to check it out. Kevin, the owner, knew he wanted to do something different. Pizza really isn’t something you can get tired of. And there you have it WilmyWoodie was formed.
Truly, I can not express how amazing this pizza is.
Truly delicious.
And the hard working team deserves some recognition. I mean, cooking with a wood fired pizza oven in the back of a truck. It’s not easy let me tell you, but somehow they did everything so smoothly. It was amazing to watch! So much more coming on this.
4/4, hands down.
Well everything I post on my page will probably be 4/4 as I won’t share places I don’t want others to go to. But let’s call it the Leave it to Lia seal of approval. 😉 💟

One April day on a sunny little corner in Wilmington, on fourth street to be exact, we enjoyed one of the top ten pizzas we have all experienced. As I stood in the kitchen and watched them prepare the dough, stretching and pulling it to shape, the owner Alex answered some of my questions. “Did you get this recipe when you bought Pizzeria Don Luca?” “No.” But he then went on to elaborate. The dough has taken many many trial and errors. Reading chats, forums, asking questions, studying what makes a good dough, and thus coming up with this dough. A dough that perfectly holds its toppings and has a nice crunch on the outside yet softness on the in. The kind you can’t help but eat all of. We tried the two top pizzas currently at his shop: The Hot Honey Pepperoni and The PBR (Pickle, Bacon, Ranch) let me tell you. The videos I’ll share don’t do it justice. We all raved about the pizza… and then we had his wings. And MAN, the wings. They are amazing. Double baked for just the right texture. And you have to try the Housemade ranch and Yoda sauce on the side. Trust me on this, what we got was the perfect order. More to come on this little hidden gem on that sunny corner of fourth street. ☀️

you amaze me. This was all just to start, of course. 😉 The oysters were perfect. 🤤 Did I mentioned that the owners closed the restaurant for over a year just to get the proper licensing to farm their own oysters and catch their own fish? Oh yeah, well they did and it was worth it. Their very own Lucy B. Oysters are unparalleled.
The pork belly and pig ear dish was something that pleasantly surprised me to the point of not being able to stop eating it. I like a lot of foods and knew I would probably like this. But that’s such an understatement. I had to force myself to put my fork down, knowing that more food would come. But man was it hard to resist. The flavor profile and textures all went so well together and left you wanting more. I’m drooling looking at my phone rn.
And where do I start on the fish taco. Where…? 🤔 The fish, if you slid to the last two photos, were freshly caught and prepared by the owners themselves. They fish in the AM and cook in the PM. Who doesn’t love that? The taco, just like its rival appetizers, was mouthwatering. I found myself having to restrain as I went between a saucy pork belly bite and shoving the juicy fish taco in my mouth. I took content. You will see said content. But man was it happening in that moment. So much more to write but that’s for another post. TBC. 😘
