As a portrait and family photographer, I am CONSTANTLY surprised by the amount of beautiful people (both women and men) who say "ew, I look gross", or "bruh, no.." when I show them sneaks during a shoot. Not because the images are bad, but because self-image can take a toll on us! What I think makes someone perfect in every way, may be the very thing that they consider their biggest flaw.

So, today I did something very much outside of my comfort zone... I stepped out from behind the camera!
I pulled out the white backdrop and said "be happy in your own skin". I am flawed, but so proud of myself for finding beauty where I once saw only imperfections.

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!

After eating way too much food, I convinced the family to take some last-minute Christmas card photos in Antique Alley this afternoon.
Boy, did they show me up! Look at my handsome guys! 😍🎄
