Brewer's Blindfold Challenge #11 - Wolfden Brewing For this challenge, all the brew team from Wolfden Brewing wanted to see if they could pick out their beer, so of course we obliged. The Brit headed out to Bloomingdale IL, to one of the most 'spooky' breweries in the area, reputed to be haunted by at least one if not two ghosts! Founder Krys Wolf donned the blue blindfold, and brewers Ross O'Neil and Jim Kuhar found some bandanas, then put their palates to the test on one of their flagship brews. Were they all in agreement as to which was theirs? Watch and find out! Cheers!

This episode should really be called "I Know My Cider!" as we are challenging Ed Seaman from Broken Brix Fermentation Emporium in St. Charles IL. Ed is one of the areas' premier cider, wine, and mead makers, but also know beer as he is a certified beer judge. It's a test of his fantastic house cider against a well-known classic from Michigan, literally it is comparing apples to apples!! Watch and find out if Ed can taste the difference. Cheers!

Brewer's Blindfold Challenge #6 - Chris Valleau / Exit Strategy Brewing Company Exit Strategy Brewing Company, located in River Forest, has been around for over 8 years and co-owner/brewer Chris Valleau has produced some great beers during that time. The Brit went to visit him on one of his brew days and Chris took time out to put his palate to the test on his flagship Double IPA. It's Illinois Craft Beer Week so we're kicking it off with another brewer blind taste challenge! Buffalo Creek Brewing owner/brewer Mike Marr got a B+ in his first challenge (see video #4), so he wanted a second chance to make sure he "knew his beer!" So, The Brit pulled out his second classic style and we went again, this time with a Munich-style Helles lager. Did Mike succeed this time to pick out his own beer and did he know the style? This challenge was videoed while we visited with the AHB team at their production facility, and we selected a classic style that you either love or hate - Rauchbier. In all fairness to the contestants, we stacked the deck against them identifying what their beer was....how? Watch and find out! That said, it was great fun and these guys do know their beer! First Look: Geneva Lager Works

Art History Brewing has opened a production brewery, hidden away in Geneva IL, and we get to take a tour of the new facility. As of this video, it is not open to the public, but it is brewing all your favorite beers. The day we visited, Greg Browne was brewing up a batch of APA Lincoln Highway. Join us to take a peek in all the corners and get a flavor for life in a production brewery.
