Long day, started at 700am drove 75 miles to Davenport FL for the other rust free door, hatch and rear bumper. Only missing a good front bumper now. Also got the uncracked console shell. It was over 100 out there today.

Then drive back and headed over to SOB Garage HQ with Karl Riemensperger to help Sig get the rear window pulled and removal of all the burl tape.

Then back home removed the shifty hatch and losely installed on the car. Already fits thousand times better.

Little more grinding down the quarter after work. No more body damage pass front of wheel well. However, Bobby Edward's who previously did some work on the car, has an original ford quarter, stripped, drilled and in epoxy and ready to go!

Another day getting the bare essentials, windows and rear lights out. Realigned the hatch, and I still might replace it. This car has a clean title, but I knew it had accident on drivers lower quarter.

Spent a few minutes grinding away the body filler and it's pretty rough. Going to grind the rest of the quarter to confirm it's only by the door, if there's any more we will replace the quarter.

For those wondering a proper job would have rewelded and filled in the holes the ground them down. This was done with body filler only. Saturday I'll get the rest handled and confirm the direction. But we want to try to save the quarter.

Big Day. Tear down. Some disappoints like broken console and quarter panel plastics stripped out, but it's all out, sitting on the build shelfs, everything is pressure wash and started working on the quarter and door jam. Ran out of strip disc's so progress halted for a few days. 2 hours and 45 minutes. Not to bad....

Grabbed a few minutes before festivities begin, removed front and rear ground effects, ground down the drivers quarter area to see the damage to be repaired, and since all these cars just buff out, went down the side with the buffer for fun. Tomorrow I hope to have it stripped pretty far down.

As all the pieces start to come together, the car has some mismatched wheels. I was happy to find a set, but they are in Chicago. Another Good friend Shane Potter (who purchased my original lighting) came thru, picking them and is going to ship them next week. Thank you Shane!

It was like Christmas yesterday. One of my friends has been a mustang hoarder for a long time. We road alot together with our Lightnings, Mustang and Shelbys. He moved to AZ a while back and we kept in touch.

Upon telling him about the Saleen, he mentioned he had a bunch of NOS parts for it and that are all mine if I want them. I cannot thank him enough, and he sent the first shipment, of basically NOS quarter glass windows in the original Carlite boxes.

What a big relief, as that's a major component almost impossible to source these days, but this car deserves it.

Thank you ny brother JazboSVT! Can't wait for you to join us for Foxtober Fest!

So for those of you following on our other page, we are trading an 88 original coupe, with 90k miles for this saleen. I restored the inside and had the paint corrected. Its a super clean straight coupe.

However, its not what I would want. The upside on the Saleen is 3x times the coupe, with the average Saleen Foxbody selling for 56k. Saleens are very limited in the fox years 84-93. In the later years they didn't even build more than 400 cars. The total number of foxbody Saleens is 2704. This makes them rarer than the 93 Cobras, and just under the few SAAC cars built in 90-93.
