I said goodbye to a dear old friend tonight. For some of you this may not make any sense. This was the very first big Harley Davidson that my dad ever got to go with me to go get. I owned this bike from the 1785 miles that were on it the day my dad and I went to go get it, all the way up to today when there was about 28,500 on it.. I’ve ridden this beautiful machine across the entirety of Pacific Northwest, into Canada, and put most of those miles on the bike with my dad. To be honest, it gotten very difficult to look at the bike ever since my dad passed away.

So I decided to make a clean break . I traded this in for a newer machine, that was just delivered today. I’ll be able to make new memories, and honored my dad’s memory at the same time.

People have already started to ask me what I’m going to do with my own road glide or pan America. The road glide was the very last bike dad went with me to go pick up. The Pan America was the last one he got to see and approve of before he passed away. It was also the bike that I used on my first cross country motorcycle trip last year called the narrow way around . So those bikes are not going anywhere..

I know to a lot of you, this thing won’t make any sense . But this is something I have thought very long about, and prayed about. And I feel it’s the right decision for me, especially beginning the healing process from my dad’s death. And frankly, if the roles were reversed, I’m pretty certain dad would do the same thing.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to this. I’ll show you pictures of the new bike once it gets warm enough to start riding.

Day 28... Approaching the finish line

NWA Day 27- Kennewick to Apple State Power Sports & Apple State Harley-Davidson to Ellensburg. 123 miles. And we broke 6000 miles for Narrow Way Around!! Currently at 6085 miles!! Narrow Way Around- the Finish Line is tomorrow at noon. Come one, come all!!

NWA 26- Richland to Waitsburg to Kennewick . 144 miles for the loop. 5917 miles total so far. Who thinks I'm gonna break 6000 miles ????

NWA Day 25- The Dalles Or to Richland WA. 217 miles, 5774 miles total! Almost to the 6000 mile goal!! Let's go!

Day 25!!

Long day today, but absolutely beautiful ride from Long Beach, along the Washington and Oregon coasts, down to Tillamook, over to Paradise Harley in Tigard . Stopping in the Dalles for tonight. 259 miles today... And that puts the count at 5557 miles total so far!!! Whoo hoo!!!

Day 24!!

NWA Day 23- Port Orchard, Washington to Long Beach, Washington. This is a place my father and I talked about riding to for a long while. It was absolutely breathtaking, although it was very slow in comparison to the other legs of this expedition. But I'm here in Long Beach now so going to find some good fish and chips as Dad would have it. 161 miles today, 5297 miles on the expedition counter!! Who's ready to break 5500 miles???

Day 23!! Let's go!

NWA Day 23- Ferndale WA to Port Orchard WA. Little light on miles today, but traffic was a nightmare! 146 miles on this leg. And as a result, just broke 5,100 mi total of this expedition so far!!

Day 22!!

NWA Day 21- British Columbia Adventure! Got to ride the Sea to Sky Highway and the Naniamo to Victoria run. Two rides dad always talked about doing someday. Felt good to honor him this way. 281 miles. 4991 miles total so far!! We are almost to 5000 miles!!
