We were thrilled to work with Evergreen Retirement Community as it commemorated those with key anniversaries this fall. It's plain to see that these folks love their colleagues, their residents and the Evergreen Community. And Evergreen is very proud of their service.

Most of us don't give much thought to what happens in the background. But Season Welle knows what it takes at the Marathon County Health Department. Sure, there are great folks on the front lines, but there's an incredible staff supporting them -- and Season -- lover of pets and doer of good deeds -- is in the driver's seat. You'll be impressed by her -- and her story.

Family is foundation for social worker

Chelsea has a heart for helping families in need, and she could likely serve anywhere. But she chose to return to Marathon County. She wants to be close to her own family as she builds a life and home with her husband and daughter. Her story illustrates the opportunities in Marathon County to make a difference and the importance of close family ties.

Listening and caring in crisis

What an honor to tell this great story about Chad Zerkle who uses a keen ear and a cool head to serve the people of Marathon County. The former disc jockey started a career in radio in Indiana. Now he's an award-winning Marathon County Sheriff's Office dispatcher, coordinating a wide variety of law enforcement and emergency services. The job and the region are a great fit for him and his family.
