Tenorioconus cedonulli

Classic St. Vincent specimen. The larger specimens almost always have growth stops or breaks in the continuity of their lovely scripting patterns. It is hypothesized that these stops occur during breeding, but I cannot confirm. This one measures 58.4 mm.

Hello friends,

As you may have noticed, it's been some time since I released my last shell list. The COVID-19 crisis has had quite an impact on my life and business. I had to pause work on new lists and focus on other life necessities. I will slowly resume listing new shells, but they will be published to the website sparsely and at random for awhile, as I have to be opportunistic with my limited free time.

Unfortunately, I am not able to ship parcels outside the U.S. at the moment (the postal service cannot guarantee delivery) so I will be holding all international parcels until I can be sure folks will receive them.

Please do not worry about ordering/reserving shells...they will be held for you over the next several months.

I just posted a few new cones today...more will pop up randomly later this month.

Wishing you all good health and stay safe!

Hello everyone,

Due to ongoing gut-renovation work on my DC row house, I had to pause my shell lists for quite some time. SO, I'm delighted to inform you that I have resumed my shells lists and will be publishing new items THIS SUNDAY.

I have made the difficult decision to sell off the bulk of my personal cone collection. Each week I will be listing new cones from the collection. I've been collecting Caribbean Conidae for over 20 years, and I'm quite proud of the specimens I have found over two decades. It warms my heart to know these gems will find a good home among friends.

Hello everyone!

The vision for Fieldguide.ai is to be a virtual museum, showcasing both museum and private collections as a "public good" resource. All the new feature development I'm planning for Fg requires a bit of financial support. Instead of competing for the limited pool of research grants, I decided to host my Aurantius LIST on Fg so all revenue can go straight back into new feature development.

Today I'm thrilled to announce the very first independent seller on Fieldguide. My good friend Damaso Monteiro (Charonia Seashells) has agreed to set up a Fg store and list a few special shells he recently acquired from Brazil. Featured on his first list are a few Jaspidiconus that are currently being described as new species.

I'm thrilled and honored to introduce Damaso's amazing shells on this list and future lists.(

Here is the link to Damaso's debut offerings:

Thanks as always for supporting this ambitious project!

Cheers :)
