On June 18 and 19, The Webster Group helped U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) produce the South Africa Smart Transmission Workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Workshop convened South African government and private sector stakeholders with U.S. industry leaders to discuss smart transmission. Through a series of high-level panels, presentations, roundtables, matchmaking sessions, and a reception, the event explored how U.S. companies can support advancements in South Africa's transmission sector. On March 19-20, The Webster Group helped plan, produce, and support the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s (USTDA) U.S.-Africa Green and Sustainable Financing Workshop. U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) planned this workshop in collaboration with the African Development Bank Group. This was the second of a three-part workshop series. The Workshop included keynote remarks, interactive panels, networking breaks, an exhibit hall, and a reception. The purpose of this workshop was to bring together public and private sector stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and catalyze partnerships to mobilize financing for green and sustainable infrastructure projects across Africa. On January 30th, The Webster Group helped support and produce the U.S. Trade and Development Agency’s South Africa Green Hydrogen Business Briefing in Houston, Texas. The Business Briefing included delegate presentations and Q&A, networking breaks, one-on-one meetings, and a reception. The purpose of this event was for U.S. firms to share their clean energy and green hydrogen solutions with South African decisionmakers and learn about potential opportunities in South Africa’s rapidly growing green hydrogen sector. A couple of weeks ago, we were in Nashville for a 3-day event hosted by A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation! We gathered 160 Clark Scholars and staff from 11 universities for the weekend. Some highlights included a surprise visit from Vanderbilt’s mascot, Mr. Commodore, a trolley tour of the city, and line dancing lesson!
