Alex Garcia has been living in sanctuary inside a church in St. Louis for over 1300 days to avoid deportation. This inspiring film is about how his wife, their five children and their local community have come together to rise above an impossible situation.

The 30 minute film is $4.99 to rent with half of all proceeds going directly to the family.

On September 21, 2017 Alex Garcia took sanctuary in Christ Church to avoid deportation. If sent back to his native Honduras he would be unable to see his wife…

Thrilled to announce that the 30 minute documentary THE GARCIA FAMILY will be available Monday, January 25 at 6:30pm CST.

For over 1300 days, Alex Garcia has been living inside Christ Church UCC to avoid being deported and separated from his wife and 5 children. The film tells the story of how the family and their community has endured.

The link to the event, which features a conversation with the family and staff from IFCLA - St. Louis Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America is here: https://bit.ly/GarciaFamilyFilm

The film will then be available for one month online.
