Juneteenth
Happy Juneteenth friends and family! Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated in the United States to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It marks the day on June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with news that the Civil War had ended and that all enslaved individuals were now free.
Tagg Magazine is not just queer-owned, but also black-owned, and we encourage you to celebrate this day and uplift others! A few ways you can celebrate are:
1. Supporting Black-owned businesses.
2. Engage in meaningful discussions about racial justice and equality.
3. Educating yourself on the history of Juneteenth.
4. Advocating for social justice.
5. Spread awareness and celebrate the achievements and contributions of the Black community.
