Over the last few decades, a handful of members of the LGBTQ+ community have reclaimed the term q***r. While it's a word that many older and more rural folks may recall as a slur, younger folks are now proudly claiming q***rness as an important part of their identity.

We want to know how YOU feel: do you identify as q***r? 🌈

Today marks the start of the 23rd National LGBTQ Health Awareness Week. From our bodies to our minds, LGBTQ+ health is often under-prioritized in the United States. This week gives us all a chance to look at this problem and implement ways to care for ourselves and one another. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This year, the theme for LGBTQ Health Awareness Week is "Health Equity NOW!" Consider this a call to action to demand better healthcare access and outcomes for our community, especially as the funding and policies directly impacting our most vulnerable members shifts on an almost daily basis. 💕✊🏽

Happy International Woman's Day! 💕

We deserve to live in a world where every single person is given the same opportunities, considerations, and respect. Yet we know, just as other women all over the world do, that this ideal isn't our reality. 🌍

Today we acknowledge one another, celebrate our tenacity, and promise to keep fighting until each and every one of us stands of on equal ground. 💪🏾

Inauguration day was just over a month ago, yet the amount of change implemented by this administration is so massive, that it can be hard to keep up.

We've complied a summary of 5 EOs passed in Trump's first 30 days that directly target the transgender community. Get all caught up at https://buff.ly/4k2KikS.

And, of course, we'll keep you updated as these EOs move through the courts.

The negative and hateful commentary on our latest post about is completely unacceptable. THANK YOU to everyone who stood up for the entirety of the LGBTQ+ community in our comments. 😘

We're so sorry you had to see all of that hatred on our page. All of the ignorant and hateful parties on that post have been blocked. 🙅🏽‍♀️

As a Black le***an married to a gender nonconforming person of color, I have always loved that Tagg Magazine exists specifically to celebrate LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary folks, cis and trans, of every color. We don't have many spaces just for us, so we'll keep reporting on, celebrating, and honoring the big, beautiful world of sapphics and q***r women.

This likely won't be the last time transphobia and racism will rear it's head on our page, but please know that Tagg Magazine isn't going ANYWHERE.

xoxo,

For Tagg's contribution to this month, we interviewed Luca Schrock, who bravely shared his story as a transgender member of the US Navy. Throughout the interview, Schrock explains how a ban would harm others like him and the larger military institution as a whole. 🏳️‍⚧️🎖
