Across the nation, homeowners like you will be connected in the experience of living in a Stroll-worthy neighborhood. Stroll Spring Valley is exclusive to the Spring Valley, DC community "Delivering Neighborhood Connections" through sharing resident stories, photos

, and happenings you’ve come to expect and enjoy. Through hyper-local, resident-submitted content, we create an avenue for these individuals to get to know local organizations, businesses, and their neighbors on a more personal level. Along with our print medium, we also provide digital avenues on which our residents can connect. The final component which makes us unique is the many events that we organize. Local restaurants, spas, salons, and more share their products and services in order to garner a face-to-face relationship with the residents of Spring Valley in Washington DC. There is no better way for a business to secure long-term success than to make the right connections.

Dance for LA: DC Families join Ashley Bronczek and family and Kristin Cecchi to raise funds for Wildfire Relief at a 3-hour family dance event benefiting Baby2Baby's wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

Baby2Baby has already distributed over 2 million emergency supplies for the most vulnerable children and families who have lost everything in the Los Angeles fires including diapers, food, formula, water, clothing, blankets and hygiene products, and we are committed to continuing this work for the weeks and months to come.

This community gathering at the historic City Tavern Club in Georgetown brings DC families together for an afternoon of dancing, games, and giving back.

Today we are honored to tell you more about your neighbor Kathy Vance.

Along with her husband, Jim Vance, son, and two Akitas, Kathy moved to Spring Valley in 1988. 🎥 Throughout her time on television, Kathy had a front-row seat to some of D.C.’s most pivotal and historic events, including elections, inaugurations, and the first papal visit to the United States.

Kathy found her true passion in producing and eventually became a freelance producer. She was fortunate to work on features that included an interview with President Obama and First Lady Michelle, the election of Nelson Mandela, and a ten-piece series on Vietnam.

While she is currently focusing on the Emmys / Television Academy award-winning documentary "Hollywood's Architect Paul R. Williams," there is so much more to know about her impressive career and life. 📕 Turn to page 14 in our April edition of Stroll Spring Valley to see for yourself.

💐 Since 1939, Flower Mart has been a celebrated event in Washington, DC, and the All Hallows Guild’s major fundraiser in support of the glorious gardens and grounds of the Washington National Cathedral. This year’s event will be held on May 5th and 6th.

Have you ever walked through the Chevy Chase Village community and admired the beauty of the landscapes and gardens? Here’s a chance to take a look up close.

🪴 On May 7th, from 12 pm to 4 pm, you can peek behind the facades and fences of seven of the most exquisite gardens during the Garden Club of Chevy Chase Garden Tour. This year’s tour will highlight seven distinctive Chevy Chase Village gardens. All the homes are in the East Village, allowing for an easy stroll from house to house.

Tour proceeds will provide funding for many community projects related to the Club’s mission. We would also like to thank Washington Fine Properties, Realtor Lisa Resch, McHale Landscape Design, and Chevy Chase Trust for sponsoring this event.
