Charles L. Brown Jr. is the pastor of Family of Faith A.M.E. Church in St. Thomas, USVI, co-founder of the Virgin Islands Alliance for Consumer Justice, author of From Scapegoats to Lambs: How God’s Word Speaks to George Floyd’s Murder, and a subject matter expert on issues that engage the nexus between faith and social justice. He is the only scholar to have authored a publication using Old & New Testament scripture to distill numerous sociopolitical and theological dynamics in the murder of George Floyd especially and police brutality generally.
