After 14.5 years working at Dolphin Run I made the toughest decision I’ve ever made in my working career to move on and begin another chapter. Working at Dolphin Run and meeting so many guests and owners over the years has been such an incredible perk of the job itself. The beautiful views every single day and an awesome staff made work seem like a day at the beach! (See what I did there) 😆

The 59th Annual Coastal Edge ECSC is on!! This year's featured artist is East Coast native Stephanie Kiker. Stephanie‘s art is inspired by her environment. Whether it’s on the beach, on the water, under the water, in the marshes, or the sound, she enjoys creating her own interpretations and expressions of the wildlife and their natural surroundings. We are thrilled to have Stephanie join the Coastal Edge ECSC family and are honored to have her as the first female artist ever featured at this event. Now the longest-running surf contest on the planet, the 59th Annual Coastal Edge ECSC is poised to break history, continue traditions and bring the stoke back to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront August 22nd-29th🌊

We supply the big stuff – adaptive surfboards and beach transfer wheelchairs. You supply your own gear – wetsuit, lifejacket (for athletes), fins (for deep water volunteers) and towels.
We also serve breakfast snacks, an awesome lunch, and water throughout the day for registered athletes and volunteers.

This year, the theme of World Ocean Day is 'The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods 💙
On June 8, the entire world comes together for the largest water body surrounding us, which is the ocean. It is an important part of our earth as it provides us with water, the most integral element that we need in our daily lives. This was first suggested in 1992 during the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. The aim behind this was to not only celebrate the vast water body and its benefits in our lives but also to raise awareness about what can be done to make it a part of sustainable development. On December 5, 2008, a resolution was passed by the UN General Assembly to designate this day.

Yesterday we had this guy (drawing 1 provided by my impeccable sketch artist capabilities) come into our building looking to stay for a few days. He created a lot of commotion in the lobby. He was eventually escorted out of the lobby. Going back through the security cameras you’ll see something is obviously out of whack because it just doesn’t match up with my instant recall at all or something is seriously wrong with our cameras.
