I spent a lot of time just floating out there in a creative void, and just recently got focused on the task at hand.

As I write this, I am still putting my thoughts down in my crazy quad-ruled notepad on what tomorrow's show (Friday, September 13th) will be.

Noel and Liam Gallagher seem to have their share of issues.

Although they both have been part of a band that many consider one of the most successful and influential rock acts to come out of the UK, It seems that happiness often eludes them.

The band has had several breaks, with the last bit of turmoil resulting in a 15 year hiatus.

This week, it was revealed that the Gallaghers had finally reached an accord - It is finally good to see the two lads in unity on something, like in the image below, and we could not agree more.

Thursday night is always intended to be my big show final prep night.

Here is a brief summary of what I want to accomplish during this one evening to ensure that Friday's livestream is memorable and worthy of your time and attention:

1. "New" Songs are to be fully researched, previewed, and purchased/downloaded if they are deemed to have sufficient merit and fit the tone of the show I am trying to create in a given week.

2. The preshow and an outline of the intended first segment of the show are considered, and the order of the songs is written in a battered quad-ruled writing pad for reference once the show begins.

3. The six o'clock shot song is determined, as well as any special novelty songs that might work right before the show close and also scrawled in the notebook.

4. New slides for our ever-growing slideshow are to be carefully crafted, after a thoughtful look at current culture or funny news events, and added to our deck.

5. A new and unique Facebook post promoting the show is created, and posted to remind folks that we will be on the air tomorrow (Friday, August 23rd) at 3:48 PM ET.

It is 10:36 PM as I write this, and most of these items have not been completed.

Oh well - Let's see what happens anyway! Please join in with over 100 (fingers crossed) of your favorite friends for all or part of the show - it will make my day, and hopefully, yours as well! See you soon!

Not everybody completes a task in the same way.

Many folks take somewhat of a textbook approach, perhaps a tried and true method that has worked for many others, and thus, has been deemed as the best way to move forward.

Others may find slight variations, incorporated them into their efforts, and achieve similar results.

A few of us take a very unconventional approach in our most cherished endeavors, and in spite of choosing a path very different than others, can see success in completing what we attempt.

In that spirit, we invite you to hear as we, in our very strange and oddball way, undertake the performance of our 190th livestream on Mixcloud, hoping that you will enjoy the sounds and sights, and contribute to the chat.

1. A much-needed vacation has ended way too soon.
2. Daily temperatures for the first 4 days since our return home have been 100+ degrees in DC, with high humidity.

Hello again, dear friends! I am looking forward to tomorrow's (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour livestream, and for more reasons than one... actually, there are at least three reasons!

1. I have had some time off this week, with the holiday and all, so I have actually put a bit of thought into what you will be hearing tomorrow (July 5th)!

2. We have had remarkable turnout in terms of listeners that have been a part of the livestream and chat for the last few weeks, l will be very excited to see that trend continue (tell your friends and other cool people to join!)

3. I will be taking a long-awaited and entirely relaxing vacation as my amazing wife and I celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary next week, and will be off the air next Friday, July 12th, and will then return to the virtual airwaves on Friday, July 19th at an as-yet undetermined time between 3:45 and 4:00 PM ET!

I'm doing another livestream tomorrow (June 21st), my 184th one in the series, to be exact.

There has been somewhat more preparation this week, at least compared to the last, but I think the exact tone and direction of the show is largely still in question as I write this.

Count on some Elton John, genre clash, a pinch of beat mixing and an overall lack of clear direction in the first 40 minutes.

The next two hours will be driven (mostly) by you all, the faithful (not so) few that join in on the show consistently to be a part of, and to give me support and encouragement to continue; not just through the set, but through this series, for over three years.

Due to other distractions, and the fact that I don't feel that great, I have decided relax tonight and to do tomorrow's show a bit more like how I used to do them back when the livestream platform was getting figured out... namely, little or no planning, zero preproduction, and a opportunity to work it out as I go!
