Today, VHS girls field hockey got its first varsity win in decades. Yes, you read that right. VHS phased out field hockey in the ‘80s. It was brought back in 2019 as a JV sport before going varsity this season.

VHS’ pole vaulters were among the big winners at Wednesday's Essex County Championship for winter track. Owen Fogarty earned first place among the boys with a vault that cleared 13’9, while Erin Petrino took first among the girls when she cleared 9’6”.
