💜✨ Meet Our First Nominee for October’s FIERCE Woman of the Month – Frightful Professions! ✨💜

It pays to be FIERCE when you have colleagues like Ashley Pfalzer — and some of them don’t exactly have a pulse. 💀

Ashley spends her days surrounded by a disembodied brain-in-a-jar, lifelike cadavers, and eerily realistic trauma victims. As a special effects (SFX) artist, she brings the unreal to life for medical schools and emergency training — crafting every bruise, wound, and scar with precision and artistry.

A graduate of Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects program near Pittsburgh, Ashley now works for Echo Healthcare in Sarasota, using her creativity and skill to make simulations that help save real lives.

Talk about a career that’s both frightful and FIERCE! 💪

From the moment 10-year-old Kate plunged beneath the waves and exclaimed, “OMG! Does anybody else know there’s all this cool stuff under here?” — she’s been hooked on the underwater world. 🐠💙

✅ Scuba certified at just 11 in Key Largo
✅ Bachelor’s in Marine Science + Master’s in Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences (UF)
✅ Known to sign off emails with “Best fishes” 🐟
✅ Charlotte County’s UF/IFAS Florida Sea Grant Extension Agent since 2022

Kate has grown citizen scientists, led vital environmental projects, and inspired her community to protect our waters and sea life. 🌎✨

We are so proud to celebrate her leadership, passion, and unstoppable FIERCE spirit as our September Woman of the Water!

What a night! 💖 Our very first FIERCE event was an evening we’ll never forget. The room was alive with energy, filled with laughter, connection, and so many inspiring moments.

Together we shopped with amazing vendors, witnessed Lipstick Lex create a stunning live painting with makeup, listened to the powerful words of Dr. Magie Cook, and most importantly, celebrated 12 extraordinary FIERCE women and 4 remarkable Business Women who inspire us all.

We were also beyond excited to share a big surprise… the unveiling of our very own FIERCE Magazine! 🎉 Seeing it in the hands of our community for the first time was such a special moment.

A huge thank you to our 8 incredible FIERCE ladies and the amazing Adams MultiMedia team for helping bring this vision to life. This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where the FIERCE movement goes next. 💫
