Good to see an actual photo of a stabilizer.

Ship stabilizers (or stabilisers) are fins or rotors mounted beneath the waterline and emerging laterally from the hull to reduce a ship's roll due to wind or waves. Active fins are controlled by a gyroscopic control system. When the gyroscope senses the ship roll, it changes the fins' angle of attack so that the forward motion of the ship exerts force to counteract the roll.

It’s past time for cruise lines to raise the bar on security protocol! We understand companies are running on empty right now when it comes to staff, but that’s not an excuse to leave passengers and crew vulnerable to out of control ship mates. Please consider the following:
1) hire some agile, Linebacker size agents to patrol high traffic areas, particularly anywhere alcohol is served;
2) place security stations on every main deck and staff them 24/7;
3) STOP OVER SERVING passengers alcohol;
4) make a general warning announcement at muster about physical violence on board and the penalties.

These type of bad behavior incidents are a regular occurrence now. We’ve seen it ourselves on our last two cruises and it’s getting old.

RCCL, NCL, CCL and others, it’s time to get to work.
